Transfer from Kigali to the Rwanda-Uganda border of Katuna (2 hours), go through immigration checks. After drive from the Border to Bwindi Impenetrable NP (3 hours). This is one of the most spectacular drives you’ll ever undertake, as you go through quiet mountain valleys and quaint terraced farms, along the shores of glistening lakes, and deep into the steaming jungles of south western, Uganda.
Late evening, arrive in Bwindi & check in your lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a preparation for your morning gorilla tracking.
Note: There are 4 sectors in Bwindi where Gorilla tracking takes place. They are Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga & Nkuringo. Therefore, what determines your stay is where the gorilla permit is available, at the time of booking.

After an early morning breakfast, you’ll proceed directly to the starting point in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park’s headquarters to meet your guides. After completing the briefing, you’ll embark on the once in a lifetime experience of tracking the enigmatic mountain gorillas.
It’s advisable to carry a packed lunch.
There is no guarantee how long or difficult your tracking experience will be as it depends on where the family of gorillas is and on weather conditions, It can take anywhere from two(2) up to six(6) hours of trekking through the mountain forest at relatively high altitudes. Fitness is definitely recommended for those wishing to undertake the excursion.
One of the most memorable experiences you’re likely to ever have, you’ll be allowed an hour of close contact with the gorillas once you’ve found them. You’ll be privileged enough to come within mere meters of a family of these rare and beautiful animals, observing their family dynamics and getting to learn a bit about each gorilla’s distinct personality in serene silence.
After your hike is complete, you’ll have an option to visit the local Batwa community to learn more about traditional Ugandan culture. Or just rest at the lodge, for the return journey, the next day.

After breakfast, check out and head for your last game drive in Tsavo East before departing for Nairobi. You may choose to have a beach extension in Kenyan Coastal town of Mombasa, Malindi or in Diani Kwale County.
